Yes. You always have the choice, but using in-network providers usually means lower out-of-pocket costs for you.
A TPA is the company that processes and pays your health claims. Their customer service phone number is on your health insurance card.
The customer service line is located on the ID card. Call it to verify benefits and eligibility.
When your provider is paid by the insurance company, they are issued an explanation of benefits (EOB) along with the payment for the provider services. You can find the phone number for Customer Service on the back or front of your health insurance card, and they can explain any payments that are your responsibility, such as copayments, coinsurance, and deductibles.
